Employment and Benefits

We counsel clients in a wide variety of sensitive employment issues, including employment covenants, hiring, confidentiality, promotion, performance evaluations, discipline, compensation, employee discharge, reduction in force, releases, leaves of absence, and protecting proprietary information and trade secrets.

Our attorneys have extensive experience in preparing employee handbooks and drafting company policies and procedures.  We advise our clients on how to avoid employment disputes and assist with the resolution of such disputes before and after litigation has commenced.

We conduct internal investigations of employee misconduct, harassment, and hostile work environment allegations.  Our attorneys are highly experienced in drafting and litigating employment, severance, and restrictive covenant agreements.  We have handled numerous claims involving harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and Older Workers Benefit Protection Act (OWBPA).

On the benefits side, our attorneys have a high level of experience in preparing qualified and non-qualified plans of deferred compensation, stock bonus plans, and other employee benefits.
