Walker R. Lawrence and Abbey L. Lerner have Joined Levin Ginsburg

LEVIN GINSBURG is pleased to announce that Walker R. Lawrence and Abbey L. Lerner have joined the firm. Mr. Lawrence has joined as an Associate in its Corporate and Employment Practice Groups.  Ms. Lerner has joined the firm as an Associate its Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group.

Mr. Lawrence is a graduate of The John Marshall Law School, magna cum laude, (J.D., 2008) and the University of Denver, magna cum laude, (B.M., 1983).

Mr. Lawrence represents and counsels Fortune 500 companies as well as privately-held businesses and individuals in a variety of business transactions, such as entity formations, leasing, and loan documentation.  In addition to representing executives in compensation, separation negotiations and non-competition and non-solicitation disputes, Walker helps businesses and their owners manage, run and operate their companies through proactive counseling in a wide range of issues including Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, ERISA, the Illinois Human Rights Act, and the Illinois Whistleblower Act, among other statutes and common law employment disputes.

Ms. Lerner is a graduate of DePaul University College of Law, cum laude, (J.D., 2014), and DePaul University, magna cum laude, (B.A., Political Science, 2011). 

Ms. Lerner concentrates her practice in civil litigation, focusing mainly on commercial and business law.  Ms. Lerner has experience representing a diverse range of clients on litigation matters, including breach of contract, commercial lease and other real estate disputes, mechanics’ liens and foreclosure actions, employment disputes and post-judgment proceedings.   She has participated in appeals before the Illinois Supreme Court and the Illinois Appellate Court.
