Experience
Robert Cooper is a litigation attorney concentrating his practice in commercial, business and employment litigation in state and federal court.
Having previously practiced at both large and small firms, Robert has extensive experience representing employers and business entities in all manner of employment actions, including those premised upon Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and the Illinois Human Rights Act as well as competition, non-solicitation, trade secrets, and wage and hour disputes.
Robert’s commercial litigation experience includes successfully defeating a multi-million dollar class action data theft claim and prosecuting and defending high value breach of contract and fraud actions. Robert also represented consumers in a five day binding arbitration before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority where he obtained a six-figure damages award.
In addition, Robert has defended Fortune 500 companies in a diverse array of matters such as mass toxic tort, general liability, premises liability, and product liability.
Robert began his career as a general practice attorney where he learned the importance of zealously advocating for clients big and small while always valuing clients’ time and money.
He also practices extensively in the areas of probate (guardianship and decedents’ estates), real estate, and corporate formation.
